Yes, I've found it thanks to the PDF. It most certainly says what you think it does.

Found it. It all makes sense now.
btw. That cover is so rad it should be the regular cover when you do a reprint. Make posters too.

Make T-shirts! Please! I'll sacrifice virgins to dread Cthulhu, Nyarlathotep and Azathoth (one virgin each) for a shirt!caveman wrote:That cover is so rad it should be the regular cover when you do a reprint. Make posters too.

Maybe with "I'm with the band" on the back?Ogrepuppy wrote:

Re: Have you found it yet?
Found it finally via the PDF and some sorcery/divination.
Goodman and company are a class act. Thanks for everything you guys do.
This is exactly how it should be done. Much respect.

I cannot find it and would love to know what it says. Can anybody PM me with it? Much obliged.
Re: Have you found it yet?
Have to say, seeing as I'm very probably not going to purchase the limited editon, I too am edging toward asking someone what it is.Zdanman wrote:I cannot find it and would love to know what it says. Can anybody PM me with it? Much obliged.
I would like to suggest that anyone desiring to know what the message, that they pm another poster and keep it to themselves.
Creating an entire thread titled 'Tell Me What the Secret Message is!' would kill the fun instantly for a lot of people.

I finally found a word when I look at the PDF, but it doesn't make much sense to me in context.michaelcurtis wrote:Yes, I've found it thanks to the PDF. It most certainly says what you think it does.
I'm hoping it's not what I think it is.

I played around with the image in Paint and came up with something that spells it out (as I see it, anyway). I PM'ed it to Zdanman, above. Just ask if you'd like it, to.

Is it the name of a famous D&D Illustrator? The same whome the book is dedicated to?

Hmmm. All I see in your hint there is some dots and a square. That's certainly not what I thought I saw in the picture.R I C K wrote:Okay. To try to avoid spoiling* it for others, I typed it in beige font color, so highlight below to read.shadewest wrote:Can't spot it. Cam I get a hint?

The word I thought I saw had nothing to do with D&D. (Of course, I thought it was a dumb word when I saw it so I figured I was wrong at the time.)Gwarh wrote:Is it the name of a famous D&D Illustrator? The same whome the book is dedicated to?

Re: Have you found it yet?
Please, anyone who actually sees it, please PM me with the secret message.
I've tried looking for it with both the PDF and the foil cover hard copy, and all I see are some weird backward-looking 2s. (Which is also on the wizard's belt buckle.)
Just go ahead and reveal the message and spoil it for me, as I'm a big fat quitter who gives up easily.

Re: Have you found it yet?
I don't have the foil cover, (but I really, really, really did want it--maybe soon:) Nor did I know there was a secret mesage. But thanks to the OPs picture, and hint that there was one, it jumped right out at me. So could have voted no before scrolling down and seeing the picture. And what a noble message it is. Truly old school noble. Not sure how much mroe I should say. Except, now I really^4 want the Foil Cover book
