PCs alignement & Patrons

Do the characters that are linked to Patrons have to be of the same alignment as these ? Moorcock’s narratives mention pacts with various creatures of sometimes contrary alignments but what about in DCC ? On the other hand, can a sorcerer bind another sorcerer to a Patron ?

I don't think there's any restriction, but you could apply a bonus/penalty in how the patron treats the player if you wanted. A patron might be more friendly to a similarly aligned player and be more willing to forgive small mistakes, where a patron might begrudgingly accept an opposite aligned player and be more short tempered with them.

It's the kind of thing that has no real rules restrictions but would play out in how they interact.

Patrons aren't listed with an alignment, so I'd think it shouldn't be a conflict... They are generally presented as placing their achievements and goals above all else, so if you are willing to help them, why would they turn you away?
