Since WotC did their own Giants hardback not so many years ago, I suspect that GG has less enthusiasm for that project compared to a few others. No advantage in competing with WotC on this.

There is one advantage, I personally would not purchase any WoTC adventures at this time in my life, but I would still purchase GG adventures, and I'm sure many other people are like this. Of course, if GG wants to try and sell some stuff to people who might mainly buy WoTC but also consider other purchases as well, then you have a point that the "mainly WoTC" people might not see the appeal of purchasing something they already have.
