Since WotC did their own Giants hardback not so many years ago, I suspect that GG has less enthusiasm for that project compared to a few others. No advantage in competing with WotC on this.

There is one advantage, I personally would not purchase any WoTC adventures at this time in my life, but I would still purchase GG adventures, and I'm sure many other people are like this. Of course, if GG wants to try and sell some stuff to people who might mainly buy WoTC but also consider other purchases as well, then you have a point that the "mainly WoTC" people might not see the appeal of purchasing something they already have.

I'd imagine yes, but there might be bigger communities than here on this forum? I mean lets face it, there isn't exactly a lot of activity on here. G+ was very active for DCC, and while not exactly "the" place to go, the DCC RPG subreddit is also more active than here, but there's probably an even more active place as well.

Things get announced when they get announced. The team are not going to tip their hand, as has been the practice for over a decade. Even if they came along and simply said "good idea" some folks would take that as admission that it's happening. They can't really say anything, because someone will spin it one way and someone else will spin it another way...
