MCC RPG Movies & Shows for Inspiration
What are some good movies/shows for some MCC inspiration?
I'll start:
Logan's Run

Heavy Metal (especially Taarna!)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_Metal_(film)
Valley of the Robots (crazy violent puppets)

Re: MCC RPG Movies & Shows for Inspiration
Nice to see Valley of the Robots mentioned!
How about...
Nova Seed (2016)
A lion manimal makes its way across a far-future, post-apocalyptic wasteland occupied by lost technology, mutants, bandits, and horrible creatures all in a high-contrast, neon color style that was all illustrated and animated by one dude.
The Time Machine (2002 version)
This one is about on-the-nose as it gets. Primarily during the 802,701 AD scenes when humans have reverted back to primitive tribes and are hunted in a jungle by mutant morlocks. High technology (like the ruins of a holographic library archive) is regarded as magic or spiritual.
Predator (1987)
Hot house jungle? Check!
Advanced alien creature hunting down pure strain human militants? Check!
Final battle coming down to booby traps, wood spears, and an otherworldly self-destruction device? Sheeeeeeit....
Turbo Kid (2015)
A pure strain human rolls around a water-starved post-apocalyptic Earth while bashing baddies (including Michael Ironside) with a juiced-up power glove artifact. Very gonzo with over-the-top gore.

I liked TURBO KID. I never heard of Nova Seed, I'll have to check it out.

The Shannara Chronicles could possible be considered. Magic could be relics of the past.

Don't forget about Wizards! I haven't seen it in quite a few years but I remember it being pretty spot-on for Gamma World.

Hawk the Slayer
Kull the Conqueror
Archer Fugitive From the Empire
Seventh Son
The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Omega Man, though I notice now looking at the inspirations for the game that movie is already listed in the book.
Toxic Avenger, more the character than the background setting.
Barbarella always has seemed good inspiration for this type of campaign.

Nausicca of the Valley of the Wind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nausicaä_ ... ind_(film)
Ark 2, cheesey 70's goodness. TV show with bits that could be stolen, and a talking chimp.

Rollerball (the one with James Caan). Adventurers find the remains of a Rollerball rink with discarded spiked gloves, helmets, and a motorcycle.
Soylent Green. Adventurers find an operational assisted suicide clinic, a "scoop" crowd-dispersion vehicle, and a freeze-dried packet of soylent green.
Death Race 2000 (the one with David Carradine). Adventurers encounter a cyborg piloted death mobile that slays pedestrians in an endless pursuit of points.
