Re: DCC 87.5 Grimtooth's Museum of Death (run as a funnel)
Yan chucks Yadin on the shoulder and whispers, "I knew if I yammered enough someone else would do the climbing..."
Yadin smiles weakly, not wanting to get on Yan's bad side.

Hey, Vijo's no animal trainer, and Kylie's no falcon, but I make a check to see if she can fly up there? And, you know, flap around?
Mike: “Okay. And there’s nothing in between. It’s either grain alcohol in back alleys, or a happy world of rodents in feetie pajamas?”
Servo: “Yes.”
Servo: “Yes.”

The cliff wall is chossy and you keep sliding back down. Eventually it's clear that without changing the circumstances somehow Rufo will not be able to scale this cliff.Fenris Ulfhamr wrote:Rufo will attempt to free climb at point D5 with the rope tied to him so he can set it for the others.

I'm not so interested in the check as I am in a description of how Vijo goes about doing that.StarShifter wrote:Hey, Vijo's no animal trainer, and Kylie's no falcon, but I make a check to see if she can fly up there? And, you know, flap around?

Give me that, a more specific idea of what exactly it is you wish her to do, and yeah, a luck check, and we'll see what happens.

Alright, let's see...
Vijo breaks off pieces of his rations (the dried bread bits), and feeds a few to Kylie. Then he pours a few more into his hand, and waves them in front of the goose's bill. When he has her interest, he tosses the bread crumbs at the top of the cliff...

Okay. Goose flies up and settles on top of the cliff (southern end) and nibbles at the bread crumbs. The glow from whatever glowy thing is up there sends her distorted shadow across the rough cave ceiling.

Yan finds a fair sized pebble or three (peanut M&M sized) and wings them at the goose, to make her flap, squawk and wander around up there...

We've been reduced to throwing rocks at a goose to move our adventure forward. DCC's premise "you're no hero," has never been more true...

Also, she's the only one of us that could make it up there!

Re: DCC 87.5 Grimtooth's Museum of Death (run as a funnel)
So Rick's gone AWOL. Is this game dead?
P.S. it's pretty obvious there's nothing more to do here--for now. I suggest we trace our way back to the elevator, and head south. We can always come back to this room later.

Re: DCC 87.5 Grimtooth's Museum of Death (run as a funnel)
Relax, I thought I posted Saturday night, but apparently it got lost.
The goose honks in annoyance as she's pelted with pebbles, and does indeed flap across to the other side of the cliff top. A single tail feather, loosed in the commotion, gently swafts down and settles on a point at the center of the cliff's edge. As mind-boggling as it may seem, this causes a truly massive slab of rock to detach effortlessly from the rest of the cliff edge/face and come thundering down towards the party.
Anyone who didn't position their zeroes at one extreme end (North-South) of the chamber, or outside the chamber period, needs to roll a d20, please.

Haking your tint, I'll spend a total of four in mathematically appropriate ways to give each of my Zeroes a 20.
