Experience Running Inferno Road?

Has anyone here ever tried running “Inferno Road”, the special Gen Con after hours deal from Wayne Snyder and Doug Kovacs? The setting and soul mechanics are really cool and evocative (much like the art), but at first glance it seems like it deviates from the standard DCC fare quite a bit, and I’m worried that my own inexperience in working with more freeform stuff might detract from the experience of the people I’m running it for. Those who have run it, what were your findings? How does one best prepare to work with such a unique product? Thanks!
