Thanks for putting those together. I really like your take on the Kobold.

Thanks.

It started off as an idea for a April Fools Day joke -- to do the most obvious, weak, and (perhaps) over-used monster.

I then started reading about kobolds on wikipedia... and loved the folklore, winding up with a creature that could easily be whimsical or very creepy depending on the needs of the GM...

Very nice kobold, very flavorful. It doesn't really fit into the type of game I play (the dead child part is a bit too gloomy for my light-hearted approach), but great stuff nonetheless.

I try to pack ideas into the entries. Easy enough to strip out the ghostly part, and just run with the mischief!

The Kobolds look like a lot of fun and are a good take on the folklore, but I love the Skwog! And the Phustyss is really creepy.

Thanks for the comments. :)

If anybody is actually using these monsters, I'd love to see feedback or the highlights, either as comments on the blog entry itself, or here.

Couple of newer posts, one lower powered, one higher powered.

And I'm crunching my way through the creatures on the cover to Crawl! #7 -- just slower than I want to...

That is not dead, which can eternal lie...

New posts are once again appearing, if you're into that sort of thing. :D

That is not dead, which can eternal lay about the house eating Funyuns and watching daytime television (mostly Dr. Oz and Mayberry R.F.D. repeats) and contemplating navel lint... Or something.

New monsters appearing, and more coming up from the spawn-pits.

You all saw the Torgo (from Manos, the Hands of Fate) post, right?

The next lit-inspired monster drops on Monday.
