Inn of The Slumbering Drake Battlemap Is Here
Inn of The Slumbering Drake - DCC #51: Castle Whiterock
This is a no nonsense quick battlemap I needed for my campaign. I know the lighting and shadows are awefull compared to some of my other Battlemaps but this is down and dirty and works well for what is needed.
I am including a link to two different versions in this first thread and then will post some previews after.
There is two different versions available:
High Quality Printable 200dpi 1"x1" scale PNG file (Over 70+ MB)
Download it here: http://www.kingdomofmorrain.zapto.org/f ... _Drake.png
Low-Res Printable PDF Battlemap 1"x1" scale File including in the PDF are player handouts for the Inn's Menu and Games (Over 10+ MB)
Download them here: http://www.kingdomofmorrain.zapto.org/f ... _Drake.rar
Have Fun! Previews are forthcoming!

I don't mean to preempt your thread, but this seemed the best place to add my message...
My wife being an artist, she occassionally makes gaming "things" for me. Things like map fragments that the PCs find, or a strangely-worked metal key, etc. She enjoys making props for my games... and I certainly enjoy using them. Here's her latest...

A couple of sets of the "Food Chain" Dice from the Castle Whiterock campaign!!

1. bwatford -- The battlemaps, etc, are fantastic. What font did you use for the "chalkboard" effect?
2. TxNetWolf -- The dice are really cool as well. Did she paint directly onto some blank dice faces, or did you take her art and scan and print somehow, or what?

She ran tissue paper through a laser printer, then "glued" it down with acryllic medium... she also tumbled the blank dice to give them some "tooth" so the medium would "grab." Simple, but effective.2. TxNetWolf -- The dice are really cool as well. Did she paint directly onto some blank dice faces, or did you take her art and scan and print somehow, or what?

I found the font with a google search for chalkboard fonts...finarvyn wrote:1. bwatford -- The battlemaps, etc, are fantastic. What font did you use for the "chalkboard" effect?

The font is called chalkdust and can be found and downloaded here:

Wow. I'm impressed with the dice! As the author of the Inn of the Slumbering Drake section (and creator of the food chain dice game), I've got to have two sets of these dice! Any chance your wife could make two more sets, and I would be glad to purchase them? Name your price! Please PM me, if this is doable.
It still amazes me that years after the release of CW (and the release of 4th edition and PF), that CW campaigns are going strong, and kind folks are willing to post their stories and behind the scenes preparation. Us authors eat this stuff up. Trust me, we are not in this for the money. We create RPG material because we have a passion, and hearing all the fans stories is just icing on the top.
Thanks for sharing!

Great work on the battle map and chalkboard lists bwatford. Thanks for posting them.
The dice your wife made look great TxNetWolf.
