Amethyst Demolitions Skill

Post by herrozerro »

Im not quite sure how to read this, but when wiring together multiple explosives it says: "DC15 for every additional
explosive wired up." Does this mean that two additional blocks wired are DC30? or each time you wire a new block its a DC 15 check?

Also with failure of less then 10 what happens? Does the character know they did something wrong?

This was asked and answered on the WOTC forum...by you. :)

But I am going to post the answer here so people know that I addressed it.

No, the values are not cumulative.

The wording a little confusing but yes, the player is aware the explosive is not wired properly but the GM is more than welcome to keep the role private.

So just to make sure, there is a DC 15 check for each block, so wiring three blocks together would require 2 DC 15 checks for the additional two blocks and then the DC for the detonator?

If you have two blocks...you would need a single DC15 to wire them both up. Adding a third block adds ANOTHER DC15 block. Adding the detonator is another BUT unless the PC is pressed for time, they can still take 10 on it.

What happens to incorrectly places blocks? They are non sympathetic so would they just be in the remains of the blast?

If the PC leaves composite explosive in the blast range of an explosion, they will be obviosuly destroyed but won't contribute to the damage or blast of the explosion.

Hope that helps....
