Saga of the Dragon Cult - 3 out of 4?
Can anyone who's run or read (or written, for that matter) the Saga of the Dragon Cult say whether it would be feasible to run it without DCC 10 ( Sunless Garden )? I like the idea of linking these four, however, I also have a rough plan to link DCC 10 to DCC 4, where the smugglers have in their pos...

Toth-Ror, Tsathzar Rho, Sezrekan, Chalychia... and of course Torgo the Eye Gouger (one of my personal favorite DCC characters)... perhaps the Castellan, as well? Any other candidates? Surely, you're not forgetting Kyleth...! While I still like my original idea since they are titles for titles, DDC ...

I think that HERO is arguably the most complete rules set ever written. And it is highly playable, too. A marvelous system. It still kinda blows my mind how versatile that rules set is. And I never thought it was hard to pick up to begin with, after the basic concepts were in your head, because it ...

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as mythfish... Played 3rd and 4th Edition Champions heavily from 87 to about 91 or 92, but have only managed one or two games a year since, usually at DunDraCon. I have the massive black tome that is 5th Edition Hero System, but haven't made very much use of it. My favorit...

Re: Fathead's 2008 predictions
DCC 2008 - a high level planar romp. The levels will be 25th, and you'll be chasing a thief (with a stolen artifact) Are you sure you're not scrying on the 2009 tourney? 8) I'd guess a lower level than that for 2008 -- a new rules set released only a few months before could mean too insane a number...

Re: What is the future of DCC w/ D&D 4.0?
So how will the DCC line handle the change in D&D's core rules from 3.5 to 4.0? Will is continue? I certainly hope so -- my submission is ready to go! I'm counting down until May.... 8) Also, I know you're looking for 'official' response, but I never did slavish conversions of older c...

Had another thought on this.... Since her description of naive is in the published module, and her stat block with the Diplomacy and the big numbers and all, is in the pdf expansion, and the expansion is mainly meant to be used if you want to use Welwyn as a base of operations, maybe her eyes are op...

Hmm, sounds like there was an 11th-hour plot reworking, and one aspect or the other was left over.... Either I never noticed that or shined it on. When I ran it, I just made her a bit hesitant to accept the 'crazy' theories of the PCs, but willing to defer to them unless it contradicted her long-hel...

I'm always one for interpreting stats rather loosely so they'll fit the character as I'd want to play it, either as GM or player -- i.e. a fighter could have an amazing to hit bonus, but he's actually a bumbling fool a la Inspector Clouseau from the Pink Panther fillms. I wouldn't do that all the ti...
