Free RPG Day 2014

Hey all,

I've been asked to run the X-Crawl mod at my local store for free RPG Day and noticed there weren't any pregens in the module. Is there any place I can go to find a couple of good pregen characters for Maximum X-Crawl?

X crawl at Origins?

I heard you fine folks would be at Origins this year. Any idea on whether or not that was still a go and if so would you be running any events. I'd love to come up for this. X-Crawl is still one of my favorite games and I'd love a chance to play again.

Pregen Characters

I'm so very excited to get to run X-Crawl for Free RPG Day, I got the copy tonight and have already read through it. (It's fantastic) I was curious if there was a place to get some pregenerated characters for it? I'm not particularly familiar with any new rules that have come up for Maximum X-Crawl,...

Anything else?

So, I'm a huge fan of WFF and was wondering if anything new was on the horizon or if it was pretty much done at this point? I'm sure I already know the answer to this question since its been over a year since anything new has come out but, I'm an optamist so figured I'd ask anyway.

thanks

Re: Open Call for Xcrawl Playtesters

I've actually been avoiding pathfinder because I didn't want to get into a new system, but for X-crawl I would actually relent and pick it up, looking forward to the new wave, and if you still need play testers I know my group would lunge at the chance. What are the odds we'll see anything by oh, sa...

Re: XCrawl Questions

What temp fame is good for, if your using all the optional rules, is for gaining endorsement deals in between levels. I always had a home rule I used, taking my cue from wrestlers like Hulk Hogan I said that getting the crowd to cheer for you gave you a temp bonus to saving throws, so for every temp...

gencon 2010

So I was just curious any plans on having anything x-crawl at gencon this year. I've played in a couple of the one offs for fun and it just wouldn't be gencon without mugging to the camera.

WFF presence at GenCon?

Just curious if there would be a WFF presence at Gencon this year in the form of a couple of game sessions or some sort of tournament?

Both would be very cool, hoping you'll have something.

Re: A Fistful of Zinjas

Just finished reading it and its awesome. My only real concern is I'm not sure the inclusion of mooks was still necessary, with 4th edition, since the minion class pretty much is the same thing, at least in spirit if not exact ruling. But I can't wait to run my people through it. Can't wait to see w...

Re: Open Call for Xcrawl Playtesters

I realize I'm a little late to the conversation, but if your still looking for folks I know my group would love to help. One member of my group has play tested for WotC so we'll have at least a little experience putting our thoughts together coherently.

Re: any new adventures?

I agree with you that it looks a lot diferent in feel and style, however I've always felt that D&D wasn't the rules you played by but the setting and story you told. I'm looking forward to trying the new system to see how it works and then see what comes from there

Re: any new adventures?

I'm going to make a very unpopular statement. I like 4E. I think a lot of the ideas really streamlined the game. And I look forward to some WFF products in 4th. I think they've very much set themselves up to work into WFF as a system the inclusion of minions who all have 1 hp and the special rule th...

Re: So, with 4E out later this week..

Well I've had a while to go over 4th ed now, and I must say I'm actually kind of excited about it. I think it lends its self well to X-crawl. the only real problem we saw was that action points don't refreshed in X-crawl the way they do in D&D, ie by taking 2 encounters without the 5 minuet rest...

I actually enjoy the rules as written, though I haven't had a chance to try them yet, some friends of mine and I are forming a group and were going to see how they work, though I like your suggestions and may use them as a basis for tweaking. On Finishing moves, if you go back and look again, becaus...

1. I don't know the answer for one I've always started my players at 4 though. 2. I haven't done it yet but I would start players at 1 and let them buy equipment with the following exceptions. they are allowed no master work or magic gear except potions and scrolls. as this seems to fit in with the ...

Since your just starting out writing your own adventures instead of starting with a villian start with a force o...

Love the books so far, I'm absolutly jazzed about iron giant.

However if your looking for rules I'd love a set of chase scene rules.

I've never found a comfortable way to do it.

If you could come up with that, well I'd suspect you were some sort of demi-god
