Or, what of some mechanic where a player or NPC could "force" an opposed roll, rather than trying to penetrate Resilience? The opposed roll would bypass Resilience if effective, but would otherwise work exactly as described (points exceeding the opposed roll affects toughness, or the spell...

So, I do not yet put the Resilience houserules (suggested earlier in other topic) in the Eldritch wiki, as the development goes on... Sounds like the game continues to run smoothly. Also, it just occurred to me...have you introduced any magic items? Do you think ERP could use a magic item and spells supplement? I think so.

Also, I'm curious,

What were the RP and VP points given (ballpark) at that session?

I think that annoying thing is not the obligation to buy non-tailored abilities, but the need to remember them. No matter what great abilities you imagined and plan to use - to stand out - you have to keep in mind that some points should be stored for mechanics-tied abilities. In other systems this...

I don't know the license stuff well... I just remember "no copyright material" statement in previous wiki. As I understand, one can use the open content (even for commercial purposes), if the OGL and a proper list of copyright owners is included. I don't know if it's applicable to non-d20...

That concept makes sense. Adventurers have always been sort of like bands of mercenaries, even if heroes. I used the exact same idea in my adventures, and I'm sure many others did too. I bet these will be much fun!

Wouldn't you rather play using a virtual tabletop? Something like the one offered by rptools.net?

...and you're right, the game's method of figuring costs works well, but with the current market turmoil, it's going to create interesting results. :wink:
