Re: Year Six Tournament: Scroll of Ruin

Hello all! I can't wait for Gencon and am getting really fired up for the tournament! :) Thanks for all the narrative/background to get us fired up... Been reading them, but lazy on posting.

Re: DCC Tourney 08

Ok, well, I am finally able to get on here and post. Work is such an inconvenience... I sure wish I could use my Accounting degree/CPA in a gaming business.... and help with the game development of course... ;) The transition back to real life is a little brutal... I need to say that I had another a...

Ok so next year we will just run in, split the group up so that we cover more rooms at once and all just run around until we are close to dead and then say we quit to get the exploration points and not the death penalty. Sounds like a plan. Will we advance probably not but since it seems like a tac...

Here is one thing to think about. Technically a team could sit down to start and as soon as time starts say they quit and have 0 points. Now because of that this year they would have ranked 20th. For doing nothing at all they would beat 4 other teams that tried and tested the gamed and tried to pla...

Re: Crying and calling uncle?

Sorry to say it but that is total bull. If you are going to let teams do that than annouce it prior to the event as would have saved us a death. Sure we still wouldn't have advanced but that is one less death to our total. If just giving up is an option now because the group missed an item and can'...

You can choose to stop?
Yes; however, I think the guidelines say that you still need to finish off another full round after it is announced.

Round 1

Not getting to engage the last boss on each level is a contributing factor to why you advanced/won. You scored maximum room exploration points by engaging the boss, but ran out of time before they cleaned your clock and caused death penalties. Well done. I will say that in the first round we didn't...

From the Blood Kings

[quote="Mouse"]Just a few random thoughts "Blood of Kings" had the ranger, monk, cleric, and rogue. Oddly the "Glen Eagles" (my round 2 table) also had the same mix. Odd mix, but it worked for us! :) Although we definitely missed the mage in the later rounds. The ranger...
