Hodin nods approval and follows.

Hodin will attempt the same action/deed on the remaining contraption: striking it with his longsword and using his deed to push it backward (or to the ground).

Atk roll 1d20+1+1 = 22 (rolled a Nat 20)
Dmg roll 1d8+1+1 = 9

Hodin attempts to strikes the one that hit him. His attempted deed is a pushback - attempting to push the contraption back into the room so we can gain entry rather than be blocked. DEED 1d4=1 ATTACK 1d20=13 + 1 = 14 (not sure if the "on higher ground" bonus applies here, if so total is 15...

Hodin cautiously moves forward and will attempt to climb the rope.

Should I roll something for that?

Hodin will watch for threats while Obadiah and Kylessa use the rope.

Hodin is amenable. He nods his approval while cleaning clay off his sword, then scabbards it.

Thanks! I have three characters who survived a funnel. Should I move one of them into level 2 from level 1? Or would it be better to roll one up / have one created at Purple Sorcerer? What kind of equipment etc would a character created in this way be expected to have?

Thanks! I do have the book. I just haven't figured out how to go from level 0 to level 2. I'll read a bit more this evening and if I can't figure it out I'll use that website.

If this is still happening, I'd be interested. Pretty new to DCC though. I played in one funnel during Virtual Gary Con.
