Re: Mercurial Magic as Campaign Hook
he steals energy from a dying world and is haunted by the dream communications from the ancient sorcerer king who wants to save his people. Since the campaign will revolve around planet hopping & time travel, guess where he may end up? I used this very hook to transition my group from the 'regu...

So what DO you do with money in the DCC milieu?
This question may have been answered already, but my search skills are apparently not doing the trick. In my experience playing through a typical DCC module or three will yield riches beyond what the funnel-surviving former peasants could have possibly imagined. But unless you're a wizard, it kinda ...

Is the Gongfarmers' Almanac dead?
I was looking at the website and the last update was in 2021 for the 2021 edition... nothing since then. Do I dare hold out any hope or is this project dead in the water?

Re: Simple rules question (sorry if it's a dumb one)
Thanks for the reply!
That was the heart of my question, I guess: whether you burn the Luck point first, and then roll, or you make the choice to burn Luck, roll, and then the point is burned.
I agree if burning Luck instantly reduces your Luck, there'd be absolutely no point to doing it.

Simple rules question (sorry if it's a dumb one)
Can you burn Luck on Luck rolls?
The rules say burning Luck is usually for other kinds of rolls, but it doesn't seem to expressly forbid it.
I know I could just houserule it one way or the other, but wondering what others thought.

Keep on the Borderlands was my first experience with D&D and is still my favorite module, so I'm loving this so far.

I actually enjoyed The Dark World more than Amber. Maybe that's heresy, but I thought Dark World was an utter blast.

Infernal Crucible of Sezrekan the Mad, The Undulating Corruption, The Jeweler That Dealt in Stardust, The Imperishable Sorceress, The Tower Out of Time, Glipkerio’s Gambit, and Elzemon and the Blood Drinking Box. As an aside, DCC really does have some of the best module titles of all time. These al...

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!
Hey, everybody! I'm a gamer living and working in Missoula, MT. I started roleplaying with the Holmes Basic set, bought at a garage sale for $1 circa 1982. From there, I graduated to AD&D 1E, but got out when 2E became a thing. Never got into 3E much at all. I also enjoyed a whole lot of Call of...
