Re: Turn Unholy
Sorry, I was away from the forums for a while and did not see this question. Here is the quote from the book I based my assumption on: Chaotic characters believe fundamentally in entropy and seek constantly to undermine or rule those around them. They are willing to disrupt the natural order of thin...

Re: Feather Falling - Laterally
I think it was an awesome idea and The Rule of Cool states it would succeed.

Re: No Spellburn for Rituals
Instead of days until next adventure, I think I will house rule that spellburn recovers at GM’s discretion over a long period of time. The greater the spellburn for a single spell, the longer it takes to recover.

Re: No Spellburn for Rituals
I agree that Spellburn should never be mundane or easy. That is contrary to Appendix N source material. You are on to something that the rules for recovery from Spellburn should involve GM discretion rather than merely a rule in a book regarding healing attribute points over the passage of time. I w...

No Spellburn for Rituals
I am strongly considering this house rule. I read a few posts about how spellburn can be abused and/or unbalancing if the wizard is allowed to rest up immediately after without risk. Most spells like Find Familiar and Wizard's Staff are designed to be cast out of adventuring time when the wizard is ...

Re: Converting Adventures
Thanks. I will give it a try winging it as needed. I prefer finding a comparable stat block and re skinning if one is available.

Re: Converting Adventures
I was wondering about how to convert damage, DC, HP, etc. What i have been doing is just finding a reasonable facsimile in the DCC book or module and re-skinning. However, if I missed something I wanted to know some formulae for conversion.

Does anyone have any advice for quick and dirty conversion of 5th Edition adventures into something suitable for play using DCC?

Re: Turn Unholy
One good thing about that (IMO) is that it discourages chaotic clerics. That is a good thing (IMO) because a chaotic cleric will usually damage the team dynamic necessary for an effective PC group.

Turn Unholy
I want to make sure that RAI (if that even exists in DCC) is that Chaotic clerics can't turn undead.

Spellburn Ability Loss
How do you guys treat the degradation of abilities due to spellburn? Does loss of Stamina cause HP to go down? Does loss of STR cause damage to go down? Does loss of AGL cause AC and chance to hit with missile weapons to go down? I would assume so, but wanted to see how other people were doing it.

Re: Laser Pistol Damage
Here is a quote from the rulebook (pg. 9) on laser pistols: "The least it can do is cause third degree burns from a grazing shot, (5 dice damage). A direct hit will puncture and burn exposed flesh (15 dice of damage). All obstacles such as cloth, plastic, glass fiber, and plant fiber, will pres...

Re: Laser Pistol Damage
There are three flavors of laser gun presented... Some do 5 dice, some do 10, and some do 15... ; ) There was some language about the laser pistol doing damage based upon the armor type worn by the target. It talks about ignoring hide, cloth, plant fiber and plastic and doing 15 dice to targets in ...
