Re: Carousing Rules for DCC
I'd generally roleplay the encounters, but I think the tables are fantastic for coming up with plot ideas. A few ideas: -Kidnapping -Waking up elsewhere/getting lost with or without amnesia -Pilgrims (where are you, and who are all these people, and why is that man in the goat loincloth gesturing to...

Re: Level 1 player more deadly than 0 level play?
Where is the fun in playing in a rigged game? If that's what's needed to keep the game on track and the players interested, so be it. The players shouldn't know that the dice were fudged. Instead of a TPK and the end of the adventure, ignore that 20, let a PC escape with the possibility of returnin...

Re: Level 1 player more deadly than 0 level play?
Rolling your dice behind the screen might allow you to fudge the odd PC annihilating roll .

Cool, although I would have probably only gone to the effort of drawing them after the funnel .

Re: Adventure availability in the UK
I've been trying to get my hands on a hard copy of Well of the worm for a while, so that's good news. It's a pity about the Tower out of time, though: it is supposed to be pretty good.

I've got sailors and doom of the savage kings from the games shop in Aldershot (https://www.facebook.com/groups/The.Games.Shop/), but they ordered them in, rather than had them in stock. Not sure if that helps.

Re: Multiple patrons & losing patrons
I can easily see two patrons, one demanding "Steal the Thing of Things and bring it to my abode" while the other demands "Protect the Thing of Things so that it may not be stolen". How to deal with the conflicting requests is up to the players. I was more thinking about the Judg...

Re: ire of gods
One of the most difficult transitional aspects for me, going from 3E to DCC has been to restrain myself from giving out too much magic. In my 3E games, by the time a character is level 5-7, they have a handful of magic items, including possibly one really nice one. I would like to have the same thi...

Multiple patrons & losing patrons
Hey all, I was wondering, has anyone had experience of a running a game with, or playing a PC with multiple patrons? How (badly) did it work out? I really like the idea of multiple patrons, but I figure that few PCs are foolish enough to give it a go, and the long casting time of patron bond means t...

Re: Acheivements?
Oooh, that looks pretty cool.
Would it be something that you keep to yourself as Judge, and award when PCs inadvertently achieve them, or would you show the players so that they can 'compete' to get one of them?

Re: clericless dcc
Yeah, I was just going to mention Dragonlance. While I have never run a game where clerics are excluded, I did run a 2nd Edition AD&D campaign where the only faith which had 'classic' clerics was considered almost heretical by most people. Most priest adventurers were priests of specific mythos ...
