Re: Best monster, treasure books to supplement DCC with?
Page 393 recommends using treasure tables form other sources but I see no mention of using a monster manual apart from the Random Esoteric Creature Generator. Where is the reference about monster manuals?

Re: Question on the upcoming Monster Alphabet
While the Monster Alphabet has a fantasy focus, there are definitely elements of science fiction. The first entry in the book is "A is for Android." Many of the random monster appearance and ability generators are generic enough to be applicable to any genre. The extraplanar and psionic en...

I also released a Mighty Deeds record sheet way back in Episode 6 of Spellburn to help fighters and dwarfs track their own signature mighty deeds at the table.

I also released a Mighty Deeds record sheet way back in Episode 6 of Spellburn. http://spellburn.com/2013/07/17/episode-6-mighty-deeds-of-arms/ It's a blank sheet for a fighter or dwarf to design their own signature mighty deeds at the table. http://spellburn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Mighty-De...

Re: Tell us more about The Monster Alphabet, please.
I would liken The Monster Alphabet to a combination between The Random Esoteric Creature Generator and The Dungeon Alphabet . The Monster Alphabet has random monster appearance, trait, and ability generation tables in addition to templates for reskinning existing monsters, lairs, treasure hoards, an...

Re: Quick one..spell is an attack roll?
Why does the wizard have a -2 to attack rolls? If its due to a negative strength modifier, then no. That only applies to melee attacks and melee damage. A negative intelligence modifier would impact spell checks.

Re: Advice for a new Judge..NPC Wizard will kill them..
You should go for it and report back. Roll up some ability scores for the wizard. When he spellburns, negatively adjust his ability score modifiers and saves. I'd love to hear how it goes. If you find that you are going to TPK the group, you could always have the wizard direct the attacks solely at ...

Re: Road Crew New York 2014: The Chaotic Overworld
Whoa. Sounds like an epic last session. I have some suggestions for taking on Shigazilnizthrub as a patron. SOME SPOILERS BELOW If the Book of Chaos was read, the PCs may learn that Shigazilnizthrub followers must cut out their own eyes and place them on the elder god's altar. One of those altars is...

Casting unknown spells?
DCC RPG pg 106 says: "A novice wizard cannot cast magic beyond his comprehension, but he may attempt to cast a spell of any level he has learned. This means he may attempt to cast spells where he suffers a significant chance of failure, based on his spell check modifier. If he judges the attemp...

Get the Wurst of Grimtooth's Traps. It has most of the traps from all the Grimtooth books. It's a nicer hardcover format.
