About Goodman Games
Goodman Games is your source for adventures! We are the industry leader
in RPG adventures, publishing popular lines like Dungeon
Crawl Classics, Judges Guild, and Wicked
Fantasy Factory. We also publish role playing games such as Etherscope,
Xcrawl,
Broncosaurus
Rex, and DragonMech. Goodman Games products
are available in thousands of game stores worldwide, and have been translated
into German, Portuguese, and Italian.
Goodman Games was founded in 2001 by Joseph Goodman. We are based out
of Chicago, IL. You can meet our staff every year at Gen Con. In the past
we have also attended Origins, Dundracon, Kublacon, Pentacon, and other
regional conventions. We sponsor popular open

Submission Guidelines
Goodman Games accepts submissions from the general public. We are always
interested in original ideas for new games, as well as articles for Level
Up. We specialize in role playing games and adventure modules, and
are most likely to consider submissions of that nature. However, we have
published a variety of non-RPG products in the past and are always open
to innovative new designs.
We evaluate submissions on both content as well as ability to execute.
For RPG submissions, this means we look at not only the idea, but also
how much editing your work may require, and how confident we are that you
can complete the assignment in a timely manner.
Level Up Submissions: Please download and follow our Level
Up Submission Guidelines when making proposals to our 4E magazine.
Game Submissions: When making a game submission, please be sure
to start with a query letter. Queries for adventure modules should be no
longer than two pages, and include the title, plot, major themes, a summary
of key encounter areas, and a list of new crunchy bits. Queries for other
products should be of a similar nature. Please include a list of published
credits, as well as a sample that shows your ability to complete the project
you are proposing. You should be able to summarize your submission in one
succinct sentence. (For example: "DragonMech: medieval fantasy mechs powered
by steam, magic, or the labor of a thousand slaves.")
Game submissions should be sent to harley@goodman-games.com
or our mailing address (above), and must be accompanied by a signed copy
of our Idea Submission Agreement.
Art Submissions: We are not currently in need of additional art
help, but we are always willing to review portfolios for our files should
something come up in the future. To submit art work for consideration,
please send a link to your web site to info@goodman-games.com. If you must
send attachments, please do not send more than 2 MB worth. Do not send
us original art in the mail!
