This version will have an index, right?

Eh... I pre-ordered it anyway.

Will you have a print pre-order form available again so I can pre-order through my LGS again?

Feel free to pre-order through your local game store! You don't need anything special to do so. Just let them know the SKU code for the book (GMG5070W, from the bottom of http://www.goodman-games.com/5070Wpreview.html ). That should be enough for them to locate the book in their distributor's system.

If/when we announce a pre-order offer (ahem...ahem...) there will also be a form to ensure the retailer is aware of that offer as well. But in the meantime, I'm sure your retailer will be glad to know your interest, as the pre-orders help them gauge demand.

GMG5070, 480 pages, hardcover, $39.99

GMG5070W, 480 pages, hardcover, $59.99 Pre-order now!

Is the 50% hike in price because of the pre-order or is the rulebook going to cost more?

You forgot the gold foil edition at $69.99. This limited-edition rulebook is cheaper than the last one. :) The shorter print run is more expensive per unit. And there are other costs amortized over fewer units (i.e., new cover art).

Love the new cover!

Wish I had the money to buy one. It's a call between more upcoming modules and a spare rulebook...and the adventures have it for me.

Still, anybody without books...you lucky devils, that cover art is stunning :D

I think it's because it's a LE cover and will come with some little extra.

Hey, what the heck does the back of the book look like -- just like the copy I have, or something new...?

The back of the book is similar to the first printing, with some very slight changes.

But the spine is different...and very cool. :)

Boo... I have to say I liked the uncolored version more then the colored one. Too much red. It's still awesome mind you... Just not as awesome as I hoped.

Came here just now to ask about the spine art.

I have the first printing but would like one with the index.

Here is the spine as it stands now. Still playing with the text color and the finer elements of positioning, but it will closely resemble something like this:

When exactly does it come out?

Just today, my wife was apologetically saying she had no idea what to get me for my birthday. I jokingly said, well, what's my budget, I'll just buy myself something from you.

She said "$60"...

Drat. Every time I convince myself "self, you have three DCC rulebooks so you don't need a fourth one" you keep posting more artwork and I want a fourth one.

And I agree with Raven about the laminated bookmark. I may have to make my own...

Any chance of a re-release of the stylistic DCC RPG cover? Doesn't even need to be in gold foil on black. I really like the simple, but foreboding look of that cover. (After all, you're gonna have it on the new shirts!)
