That sounds awesome! I know my players would be more keen to use paper minis if we could just print off new ones when they get better loot.

I threw some money at that Reaper Kickstarter. They just crossed 1.5 million and the $100 backers are getting a ton of stuff. Even though I rarely have the time anymore, I do like to paint!

If I didn't have something in the vicinity of 600 unpainted miniatures, I'd probably be excited about the Reaper thing... :roll:

Seriously, I will jump in the bandwagon. (Maybe only at the 60$ level though.. still a good deal and I don't need so much pirate/space hulk/vermin minis.)

It's very simple :
1. Models are glued on wood bases of 20mm square (Litko)
2. I use a texture on the base (Armageddon Dust from Games Workshop). You can also use modelism sand and glue
3. I dry brush with white sand color (Prince August)
4. Some static grass is glued

While I have about 25 years worth of collecting miniatures to pull from, I am planning on using the Game Dorn and the threatened city of "Argos" for the basis of our upcoming Isle of the Unknown DCC campaign. Take a look. It's a cool board game, but immediately I thought it would make a great spot to begin our sandbox tour of the weird! :mrgreen:

The pieces are small so they are probably about a centimeter in diameter. But, the afforded portability and versatility is worth while for a game like DCC. Here is the game being played:
