So, I am going to be running a 1 shot Zero level adventure next week and it takes place at sea. So I quickly created the following for the creation of "Location" specific Zero levels characters. Any additions or suggestions appreciated!

Your list seems really good. It did occur to me, however, that it may be fun to add (if it fits) an alchemist with an unpredictible form of gunpowder

So, used my chart in a one-off Zero level funnel last night. We ended up with Player#1 having a Cabin Boy, Navigator and Elven Mariner. The navigator ended up with a monkey! Player #2 had Ship captain, Marine and Mate.

There were 2 more players using single 1st lvl Pc's each. At the conclusion 3 of the six Zero level Seafarers had survived and will be integrated into the ongoing campaign.

I am considering working on a few more of these types of Occupation charts, maybe a Desert or something....

I am a big fan of this type of thing. A few unique charts can really make a difference to how an adventure feels, and the player has a chance (potentially) to get an unusual character as a perk for playing in that adventure. Cool beans all around!
