The Iron Tavern: DCC RPG Blogging

I have been doing a fair amount of blogging about DCC RPG over at The Iron Tavern for those that are interested in another blog that posts some DCC RPG content.

I will keep you apprised... may be starting a fresh campaign soon (one of those "I've got home-brew setting and rules ready, so lets re-boot and start using them" sort of things), and if so it would serve as a good hub for the initial action.

Just got through reading it as well. Could not agree with you more on the classes of DCC. I think Mighty Deeds are what initially drew me to the game.

Agreed. I really liked the Mighty Deeds in reading them and have been pleased to see them work well in play as well. Nice simple mechanic that doesn't stifle the players' creativity by stifling things with an over abundance of rules for each and every action a character could take.

With the addition of shield spikes from Crawl 2, the sword and board can get deadly.

I still need to pick up the Crawl issues. I keep hearing good things about them, but haven't ordered them up yet. Big fan of sword and board as depicted in DCC RPG, shield spikes can only make it better!

You should submit that to CRAWL! But also, 30+ should kill the guy who sprung it and damage everyone in 5' radishes. :-)

beermotor, you are right, maybe 30+ should spread its damage around a bit more! Maybe a few more tweaks and I will submit it to CRAWL!.

When it's all tweaked, I'll add it to the Crawler's Companion as well as an additional crit chart. :)
