My Character Sheet Remix

Post by Sir Robilar »

Hi, I'm a long time lurker and finally found a reason to come out of my hole and write something to you...

First of all, I'm a HUGE fan of the DCC RPG. I adore absolutely everything about this game. Perfect style, perfect rules in my opinion. Can't wait to finish our campaign that uses this other unspoken rpg and descend into the brilliant madness of Appendix N.

In the last days I photoshopped a remix of the game's character sheet, adding some of the art from the Core Rulebook pdf as borders. My goal was to create a character sheet that evokes the weird flair of the rulebook and would thus help to translate this unique feeling to the players. I like the result and would love to share it here. But before I wanted to ask if this is ok or not since the art is copyrighted and all and I have no understanding of these things.

Thanks!
Rob.

Even if the art is copyrighted, what you've done is probably fair use (so long as you aren't selling it).

So upload without fear, my friend.

Ok, I take a shot but If the good people at Goodman Games tell me to take the file down I will do so instantly. I'll also do that if I find out beermotor is no real lawyer.

Here we go.

I'm looking forward to your feedback! (consider this a work in progress)

I doubt GG would be upset w/ fan created content, so long as you're not trying to sell stuff and make money off their work. I like the sheet, but I've noticed nobody puts birth augur on there... any reason?

I really am a lawya. About a third of my practice is trademark/copyright.

Alright, I guess you're correct then! Thanks.

Didn't think of adding a birth augur. It's the same basic information as on the regular DCC sheet.

Looks great, I like it!

Right now DCC needs as much fan interest & activity as possible, to increase the player base.

Yeah I wasn't sure why it was missing there too.

I realized this morning that the Lucky Roll box impliedly includes Birth Augur. I'm not very bright.

Great job! Thanks for sharing it. We've just rolled our 0-level characters and are still in the midst of a Pathfinder campaign, but as soon as we switch over and finish the funnel, I'm handing this one out to everybody. Maybe we'll even use it for the funnel.

Thanks !

Chances I'll do a ref screen are low because I always roll in the open. Maybe I'll change that practice If DCC turns out to be too deadly in play.
