Module PDF

Post by Scott Kellogg »

Forgive me if this has already been answered, but I'd like to know if I'm entitled to download PDF versions of modules that I've purchased. I'm starting my DCC game on Friday, and I'm impatient about waiting for the new modules to arrive in the post :)

Nope, there are no Print + PDF bundles for the DCC modules.

I hope that will help prevent, or at least curb, piracy.

I've already seen the DCC RPG offered on a site where I "share files with my peers".

It made me sad and kinda pissed.

Well it wasn't me :D

I don't like Piracy. Let's hope it at least drives physical book sales...

Not smart. DriveThruRPG tags all of its PDF's with order numbers and names. It is easily traceable back to the culprit.

I think offering up the books and PDFs at a reasonable price is the best you can do to avoid piracy. I'd say most people interested in your books will pay for a PDF even if they can acquire one through less scrupulous means. I think this is a big mistake Wizard's made when they pulled all their PDFs. They didn't really make them harder to find or pirate, they just made them impossible to pay for.

Agreed. If I have a TV and it gets stolen the answer is not to stop me buying another but to stop the thief!

Not so simple. Not only can he burn Luck with a better result than most, but that Luck is regained over time!

There are applications made specifically to remove watermarks from PDFs, so......not so easy to trace.

Most people in the communities that pirate this material know or know someone who can de-watermark things.
