As a Canadian do I need the international shipping option?
This is definitely interesting. Hopefully we get a sneak peek soon of the text (and classes) and not just the art.

Ugh, right up my alley.
I only say ugh, because I can't really afford this. *boo hoo*
This looks like it's going to be awesome.

Re: Tales From the Fallen Empire Kickstarter
Thanks for the support and the kind words.
To answer Bholmes's question. We will be putting up some sneak preview content over the coming weeks. I think first we will put up the story of Creation. A little bit about the world of Leviathan and its brutal origins. Then perhaps put up the Witch or the Wanderer class.
Eric Quigley will be drafting up a few of the monsters in the near future for view as well.
Thanks again! It is only day one and we are almost at 1,000 dollars.
If we over fund we have some great additions that will make this quite the setting.

Re: Tales From the Fallen Empire Kickstarter
I did a quick post on this and how amazing it is that the project is already 100% funded and then some. I also threw a link up for the project on my sidebar, and will do so for any DCC RPG related kickstarter: http://earthlightacademy.blogspot.com/2 ... mpire.html
I'll definitely throw some money in once the next payday rolls around.

1st off Thank You! I can't believe how strong a community we have.Vanguard wrote:I did a quick post on this and how amazing it is that the project is already 100% funded and then some. Unfortunately we are only at 53% right now, but I am keeping fingers crossed that we reach 100% shortly.
I am however, working on stretch goals. I am looking to either upgrade the maps or bring in another freelancer. I have spoken to Zak S. a few weeks ago and he showed interest in designing one of the city states. We will see.
Thanks for the support!

Fingers crossed? I think it is a foregone conclusion now.
Once you add some stretch goals and give us some sneak peeks of the classes and such you should blow by it.

Hahaha you're right! I don't know why I thought it was 100% funded. I have updated the post.ravenspoe wrote:1st off Thank You! As a person interested in the book, and irrationally abhorring kickstarter, I hope that it does... I keep checking the page for this book and trying to convince myself that I want it bad enough to pledge at least $50 the moment the initial goal is actually met.Vanguard wrote:bholmes is right, you don't need to worry. Re: Tales From the Fallen Empire Kickstarter
We have your interest and that is great. The book will be released Kickstarter or not, it is just with the KS support we will be able to have Doug, Michael, and Eric do more art and writing. Myself and some of the freelancers have high hopes this will fund and we are already thinking of stretch goals. So thank you NobleDrake for checking us out, it means we are doing something right. =)TheNobleDrake wrote:As a person interested in the book, and irrationally abhorring kickstarter, I hope that it does... What's wrong with Kickstarter? Crowdfounding is a good thing.

I mentioned that it was irrational... but yeah, easiest way to put it: Too many times having a junky take my money and split has spoiled my trust for everyone.Vanguard wrote: What's wrong with Kickstarter? Crowdfounding is a good thing.

Re: Tales From the Fallen Empire Kickstarter
What percentage of the book would you say is setting vs. mechanics/inspirational material?
I never use setting material beyond a bit of inspiration for my own campaigns so I am mainly interested in how much of the book will contain things like the new classes, rules, spells and so on.

- You will see 6 new classes
About 15-20 new spells based on the setting
2 new patrons
A new mechanic call KA that measures life force and sanity
Currently about 15-20 new monsters
A new cosmology

Re: Tales From the Fallen Empire Kickstarter
Someone just pushed it over. It is now fully funded.
To help with the first stretch goal I am upping my contribution to $50.
