Mine came today! I am completely happy with it! The weight of the paper and the size of the font is easy on my aging eyes!

My ipad will get jealous now (no more reading the pdf for a while for me!)

Well, with the size, if you are not careful you could get time off work damaging your back lifting it!

Be still my beating heart!

My gold foil book just turned up in the UK, hand delivered by the postman.

Packaged in a green "Sweden post Economy print bag" plastic bag with address and customs tags attached via plastic ties (very old school, looks like it could have been hung from a saddle bag). Cardboard box looks OK, with just two dents in the back. Now for the moment of truth....

No packing at all, just the box and an all important single sheet of blank paper! Book looks OK. One very minor scratch in the front cover and the bottom corner is a bit compacted. One module cunningly secreted within the front cover.

Excellent, but for some reason it looks short and stubby (slightly shorter than UK hardback books), but I think that is mainly an optical illusion because of its girth. Just in time for "show and tell" at tonight's game session! :D

The missus just texted me to say the postman managed to drop a huge parcel on our dog.

The DCC rpg nearly killed my puppy

Mine arrived on the 10th, but I didn't get to post as I was going away for a long weekend without either the book or computer. Looks great! I've already read too much of it and neglected too much work...

[edit - Forgot to mention - I'm 15 miles North of San Francisco, CA, US]

Just got mine in the mail! The pdf is great, but doesn't begin to suggest how amazing this book is when held in your hands.

When I look through other versions of D&D type games I always find myself thinking about what I need to house rule to fit the game into my home brew setting. DCC makes me think of ways to change my setting to better fit DCC.

Thanks for making the game that I always wanted to play, even if I didn't know it until now.

Great photo RAD Colin!

Raskal...just had a peep at your blog. Cool, well painted figures! Really good.
I couldn't understand a word of it all though, being an ignorant Englishman.

Whenever I get a book, the first thing I do is smelling it.

By the way, I love the thick paper you used.

Both fresh new books and old yellow books have a delightful smell. Most of the times. :D

1. This would make a fun t-shirt quote. If for no other reason, just to force one to re-tell the story a few more times.

2. Good thing the puppy survived the funnel. Now he's a real dog.

SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE DCC'd!

Post by Machpants »

Oh yeah, in my PJs on Sat morning with poorly kids watching Scooby Do I get a knock on the door and YES there it is HARDCORE SWEDISH POR... I mean POST!

No dings, maybe cos both books in the box :)

Decided to make them feel at home and not too fat. Bigger than PfRPG Core but Ptolus and ToHC are larger. Obviously DCC51 is as well ;) I imagine Rappan Athuk (#3, on KickStarter) and Slumbering TSar (coming soon!) will be fatter too...

Image

New Zealand (and the Southern Hemisphere) has been officially DCC'd :D They do smell great and they are so awesome in hand. Art, art art art... Wow. Now I am not a real big fan of the old school simple style, even though I am old school (I was inspired by Elmore -apart from the cheesecake), but this has opened my eyes to it's awesomeness.

Happy Camper
