Thanks! Will do!
We usually get in about 50 RPers for our game days, all looking to try something new so that is why I wanted to run something to gather interest.

In all honesty I love DCC over other games such as C&C and Basic Fantasy. Having cut my teeth on Moldvey/Cook DCC takes the best of the old and mixes it really nicely with the new. The Character Funnel was just pure genius.
I am going to hunt down another set of Zocchi for the demos, but I like having collections of Odd dice. Back when I was an avid player of Hollow Earth Expedition, I had about 5 sets of the ubiquity dice.

I'd like to host/GM a Beta Playtest in London (England).

If you are in London and you'd like to try out DCC RPG, respond or send me a private message.

Cheers!

Hey folks. I'm looking to spend a day at GenCon this year (Saturday, to be specific), and was wondering if any playtests were going on?

Enjoyed immensely Joe's run of DCC RPG beta at the SoCal Minicon in Anaheim, California. The most notable tweek / updates are:

1) Thief's skills are now +/- modifiers instead of percentile.
2) Cleric's cumulative spell-casting penalty has been modified so each failure increases deity's displeasure when there's a natural low die roll.
3) Amount healed is now based on the target's HD.
4) Instructions on corruption are unique to each spell.
What do you mean no?

I don't remember it exactly, but corruption charts that are spell specific is being tested, and probably likely to stay. Each spell had d6 corruption effects. They're part of the spell chart now. I didn't take a good look. I played a Warrior.

Woah that cleric idea sounds fun and thematic if done right. The second part is great news as well.

We will be running multiple DCC games (and playtesting the new priest mechanics!) at Tacticon, Sept 1 - 5th. The streets of Punjar will run red with the blood of PCs!

Myself and three friends already have our tickets and can't wait!! I playtested the priest earlier at GenghisCon, might have to grab him again to see the difference.

Join us for the Rise of the Wombat Game Day, at Total Escape Games in Broomfield, CO, November 5th.

http://gaming.wombatcast.com/

Don't make too much of the title of the module (I had to make it up on the fly) *but* we will be playtesting an as-of-yet unannounced DCC adventure and testing out the scope of the higher level PC mechanics. Hope to see you there!

Just submitted my DCC events for Genghis Con 2012. If there is also interest in a private, DCC-forumite game Friday night, Feb 17th, down in Denver, drop me a line / PM here on the forums and I'll see if we can't put something together.

Hi guys and gals,

I'm looking for DCC DMs for Con Nooga 2012! Con Nooga runs February 17th-19th at the Historic Chattanooga Choo Choo in Chattanooga, TN. We're a fast growing multi-fandom convention in the Southeast sponsored by Dicehead Games and Comics and many others.

I'm very interested in offering as many DCC tables as we can fill and I need more DMs to help make that happen! If you're interested in joining us to make DCC RPG a mainstay in the southeast, please contact me at tvga.org@gmail.com to work out a schedule.

General con information is at http://www.connooga.com/

And again, please submit DM inquiries to me directly at tvga.org@gmail.com

Thanks for reading!

Shoot, I wish I weren't already committed that weekend. It looks really fun.

Next year I have two major releases: DCC RPG and my first son. :) My wife is due right before GaryCon, so I'm afraid I won't be there this year.

WOW! Congrats! Great NEWS!!

Also grats on the boy!

Growing your own group really works! Maybe the good wife could manage to sneak a extra in and have twins? You really need 4 group members. Though maybe you already have a couple of girls?

Growing your own rpg group is one of the best reasons to have kids!
My wife is due right before GaryCon, so I'm afraid I won't be there this year.
Ok this next part will be a little tricky but you are missing a great opportunity here! If you can get the good wife to hold off just a little and have the baby DURING GaryCon so that the baby gets to play in his first RPG within seconds of birth you will achieve the Gameborn status for him as well as Born with a 20 sider in my hand Perks.

This would make him a born legend and as we all know the way things work out in rpg stories....the rightful king of RPGland!

I kid! I kid! Well mostly, It would be hard to get a doctor to deliver in the Goodman Games booth! Not to mention the amount of Prepwork you would have to do in order to convince the wife.
