DCC RPG Playtests in Chicago prior to GaryCon

Post by goodmangames »

Hi everyone,

I'll probably in Chicago for a couple days before or after Gary Con. I'm planning to run a public playtest if anyone is interested, probably out at Games Plus (one of my all-time favorite game stores). If you're not able to make Gary Con and are interested in taking part, let me know...

My GaryCon status is still "up in the air" but I'm pretty certain I can make it to GamesPlus. (I bought a couple of sets of funky dice there just two days ago! Ugly "Glow green", which are supposed to glow in the dark. I'm still inking them with my trusty Sharpie.) They're great guys at GamesPlus!

Just let me/us know day and time...

Oooohh....that sounds fun.

Unfortunately, since I'll be at GaryCon, you'll be sick of me by then :D

But i''d be happy to buy y'all lunch or dinner...

Depending on the date (and my work schedule), I would certainly love to be there!

How about the ENWorld Gameday 28 on Feb. 26 @ Games Plus?

Of course, I live close enough that, if you ran a playtest at Games Plus, I'd play. Just give us a bit of notice, in case I have to work that day--I'll ask for it off!

Hey, Roman. I'm not familiar with this. What's the scoop?

(I suppose I could track down the GamesPlus web page to see if they say anything, but I'm feeling lazy at the moment...)

ENWorld hosts a Chicago Gameday at least once per year at Games Plus in Mount Prospect. GMs who want to run sign up for slots in either the a.m. or the p.m. There are several one-shot RPG games running concurrently in two shifts: shift one from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and shift two from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Once the GMs have decided which games they'll run when, the forums will allow players to sign up.

For more and better information from the dragon's mouth:

ENWorld Chicago Gameday

Event Planning Thread on ENWorld Forums

ENWorld Chicago Gameday on Facebook

Does that help?

(In fact, if I could get the playtest stuff in time, *I'd* volunteer to run the playtest at ENWorld Chicago Gameday 28.)

Just say so, give me a week or two to juggle work and I will be there.

Reminds me that I have to make a run to Games Plus, it's been a few months...

Is it safe to assume that there will be no game next weekend at Games Plus?

Just wanted to check...

Looks like my GaryCon plans are in the dumpster. I told my wife to keep that weekend open, but some family stuff that can't be rescheduled has reared its ugly head. :(

Still hoping to attend a Games Plus playtest, if Joseph can pick a date! 8)

There WILL be a Games Plus playtest, on the evening of Thursday, March 24, the Thursday before Gary Con. The store has set aside their back room.

If you're interested in playing, post here or shoot me a note, and let the signup sheet begin!
