New X-Crawl & Dragonmech

Post by Raptor »

When can we expect some more X-Crawl & Dragonmech products? There was some talk on the boards about Dragonmech Battles & Playtesting a new edition of X-Crawl, but then nothing. An update would be nice.

Don't know about X Crawl, but as far as I know DragonMech Battles is still coming out...someday.

Is this "any excuse for a bump"? :)

DragonMech Battles is still on the agenda, for "one of these days," though not in the near future.

Brendan's still working on his next iteration of Xcrawl, too, also in the "one of these days" category.

I recently got back into playing GW's Blood Bowl game, and I was thinking that Xcrawl would be really cool in a more board game style...maybe something like the new Castle Ravenloft game, but with rules for creating your own characters and campaign play.

Totally agree. Brendan and I have talked about the format for the new Xcrawl. I think it would be really cool to include poster-size full-color arena maps, with little cardboard chits for "standard" obstacles (barrels, razor wire, etc.) as well as the monsters specific to a few dungeons.

I'm sure GG is all about the DCC RPG right now, in practical terms, anyway.

If DCC hits it off, maybe there'd be a Dragonmech version or campaign book...

Of course, it never hurts to bump to keep the notion that people want more of the game alive.

I don't feel like that would be a very good match, at least not without some big changes to the DCCRPG rules.

While I'd like to keep DragonMech alive, I don't really want a DCC rpg version. What I really want is DragonMech Battles which they had been testing so it is hopefully close to done.

Totally cool idea! I like the idea of having characters moving around on a board. It seems to fit the feel of Xcrawl.
