I discovered years ago, if your group is used to 'bash the monsters' D&D, if you have a few early encounters, Mythos-realted or not, where one or more PC's are nearly dead by the end of them, it establishes a new tone pretty effectively and quickly.Ogrepuppy wrote:Something that I've found to be true about Call of Cthulhu games (and really any horror game) is that the players need to be willing to be scared....
