Since I generally throw one of the DCCs into my existing campaigns as side quests, they appear in Forgotten Realms... Granted, they are solid enough (and self contained enough) to fit anywhere.

My group is playing them using a custom backgound that we've developed over the past few years and use for most of our D&D campaigns. No problems at all integrating them, though I've only seen #1 and #2 so far.
