Goodman-related clay miniatures

Post by chimaera »

I've made a few clay figures for some of the Goodman modules I've DM'd, and it was suggested I post them for others to see. They're nothing too fancy--just some clay I baked and also painted some of them a little--but it was enough to get the idea across for my players. These are from "Volcano Caves" and "Cage of Delirium."

I have to say, these are neat! It would be fun to face them as a player.

Thanks! My group liked them, except the hydra. They really freaked out when they saw it, and almost died fighting it. That's my biggest one so far. I found some cool wire-mesh that can be baked, so I make the general shape with that and then put the clay around it. It serves as a strong "skeletal" outline so things like the long necks and tail don't break under their own weight.

Those are cool!

I once ran a Deadlands campaign where I used western and Halloween Legos, but it didn't turn out as neat as your clay guys. Love the hydra!

Here's a few more figures I just did for adventure #8, "Mysteries of the Drow." These are the "lava creeps," monsters made of lava that are depicted on the front cover of the module. I made a few variations, and wanted to make each one different, so here they are...no painting involved, just a mixture of red and orange clay.
