Piece of between Decks map

Post by Doug Kovacs »

A piece of a map from the Michael Curtis penned "Android Underlords" This is just the top corner of a full page of random cool and weird areas between decks.

Agreed. Doug's maps are always fantastic! (One of my "secret GM tricks" when I run a DCC game at the store is to print off one of Doug's maps and key my own encounters for it. I get to use the same coolness over again, plus if someone buys the module they don't feel like they've played the adventure already. Win-win.)

Cool. It has been my thinking from the beginning of DCC that an agile minded Dungeon Master can use the maps in each adventure for more than their original purposes.

The key is that the maps evoke creativity. They are so full of neat images, etc, which makes them far superior to traditional maps which tend to be very generic. I can look at a room and think "say, what could this be?" and then fill it with something.

Is this from the Android Overlords adventure from the MA Kickstarter?
To defend: This is the Pact.
But when life loses its value,
and is taken for naught -
then the Pact is to Avenge.

OK roll 3d6 against your dexterity score, and we'll see how much the football liked that happening. <rattles dice>

Oh dear, the football appears to be brandishing several small tentacles some of which are holding small gun-shaped devices,

To quote a certain game designer "what to do...what to do..."

PS - Finally corporeal at last!
