Spellburn podcast needs an actual play RSS feed
Hey guys,
I was just listening to the recent Spellburn, and the topic of an actual play from the guys came up. Show of hands, who wants to see Spellburn host an Actual Play RSS feed? The feed could be used by the guys for DCC games that they play/run/record, but it could also be used by fans who play/run/record their own DCC games. Those recordings could be sent to Spellburn, and we could hear everyone's games!

And I'll clarify that my intention for the "fan submission" option is meant to be DCC game only submissions. I'm sure other games have a podcast with an actual play format that they can submit those games to.

I have listened to some actual play before, and it isn't too bad...but I also understand how much work it is to edit it. I would love to hear it though.

I would argue that some of the absolute best actual plays have zero edits. Just start the recorder, and then end the recorder.
For me, when I listen to an actual play that is that raw, I get a real feel for being right there at the table. If I want to listen to something that has been cleaned-up and edited, there are lots of audio books or audio dramas I can listen to. For me, an actual play isn't an actual play unless it is raw and wooly.

This is likely the closest we're going to get. I am piloting an actual play series of my online game over at The Iron Tavern. The first episode has been posted. We will likely consider this a 3 series pilot and based on feedback determine whether it is worth continuing or not.

Yeah I will listen tonight. If your party is filled with chaotic loons like mine, it should be all too familiar.

I'm not going to keep bumping this thread, but since the podcast is new - here is the announcement of episode 2 of the actual play podcast:

And if you want to load up the feed in your favorite podcast app, here is a direct link to the feed:

And if you are an iTunes user, keep an eye out for the podcast to hit there in the coming days.
