Any thoughts? Can MA and X-Ploers work together?

My work group stumbled upon Brave Halfling's X-Plorers and have become giddy, to the point of willing to give up DCC-RPG and perhaps even Castles & Crusades.

I think it looks very interesting, but want to rotate it among the other games.

While it's not designed to be compatible, it certainly could be used with X-Plorers with minimal effort. One possible resource for you would be to look at the Gamma World / AD&D conversion pages in the 1E DMG.

Weapon damage should be fine.

Most of the MA mutant monsters should be fine. AC works differently, but should be a simple conversion.

Character HD will be a little strange, as a MA character gets his CON score as the number of HD.

Thanks Finarvyn.

At this point it might be moot. One of the work friends that is so excited about X-Ploers has said he would be the game master! I'm all over this! I so seldom get to be a player in our RPG games.
He said he would be able to make up adventures.

I'm still looking forward to MA and have great hopes of trying this game out.

I know the feeling. I joined a game at my local game shoppe just so I could play, since no one in my regular group wants to take a turn as GM.
