Frozen in Time Play report from Open game

Play Report from RPG Day 11/21 (3rd Saturday of the Month at Stonegate Pizza and Rum bar in Tacoma, Wa)

Adventure: Frozen in Time

The Motley Band: 1st Level Wizard Draken, 1st Level Dwarf Grumal, 0 Level (Orphan, Dwarf Flint, Hunter, Gatherer)

The session started at the wake for every one in the Wedding Party that died during the Ant Men attack in “They Served Brandolyn Red” when the corpses became animated and by the Chaos God and started shouting threats before being put down. Guess he is still mad about what happen in “Sailors of the Starless Sea”.

Their benefactor Dunmas the Shipwright one of the builders of the great dragon ship they freed from the Chao Gods follows suggested that they travel to Frozen waste to recently found ruins of a great base to see if they could find weapons and equipment to help prepare them for the what lays ahead.

The Band stopped at a small village where they picked up some locals to help guide them to the site where the large demon eyes wept green steam.

The Band climbed up some old goat trails where they where confronted by a giant sabertoothbear which they eaily dispatched. They then climbed down the crack they found in the ice and came in to a frozen sleeping quarters of the base. There they fought a Yeti that had stumbled into the same crack and had fallen into the room getting stuck after fighting him and defeating him they moved on after finding keys to the time portal room where they sent a Pallet some where in time. After their way blocked by a different color key they went back down to the sleeping quarters and out into the hallway. They first went into the Cafeteria and found nothing of use and where less then interested in eating the orange goo they food machine made.

In the Trophy Hall they avoided the T-Rex and didn’t bother to take any of the painting or statues.

The next room was the Garden which they took the elevator to the power room and worried that the Green steam might be poisonous but after nobody died they got out of the elevator explored the room a little but never found the vent covers to get out through the eyes.

They then continued down to the garden room and up the elevator in the foyer to the hall way to find the bed chamber and the killer medical droid ( they fought it and I never actually scored a hit to get to heal them) they easily dispatched that and found the gold key. In the treasure room they found the robot that finally give Dracken some damaged and Killed Dwarf Flint and the Gatherer. Before he was slain. They where able to recover the Samurai Sword, blaster rifle and the Bronze Shield.

They made there way back to the time room then opened the zoo. After a short period time the base power started to flicker and the Anthro-Antis escapes the field they fought him and left the room before the Owl bear escaped. The power keeps on flickering and when they got down to the Trophy Hall they found the T-Rex was now lose the two 0 Levels and the Dwarf ran for the way they came in to climb up the rope they used to descend into the room. In the bed chamber the Wizard decided to spell burn some point and roll his patron bond spell Urhatta’s Breath even with the spellburn he only comes up with enough damage to take T-Rex down to about half his hit points. The T-Rex attacks and take the wizard down to 0. The dwarf grabs the wizard and drags him over to the rope where the remaining two 0 levels pull the dwarf and wizards up out of the reach of the T-Rex.

That’s where we ended the adventure. Next month they will travel to the Purple Planet after Dunmas tells them they can find others who are fighting the Chaos god.
