Missile Fire Attacks and Damage

The rules say Agility modifies missile fire attacks. Do Agility modifiers also apply to missile damage rolls?

I would say, No.

They should, being that of high agility you'd have better aim to hit those soft spots, but the rules say no.

That'd be one way of doing it -- but that also assumes knowing where the soft spots are...

One of the rules changes I liked best in 5th Edition (and some OSR projects, specifically Kevin Crawford's, before that) was letting a high Dex/Agi add to damage on ranged attacks. I felt it made playing an archer character more viable. Adding Agility bonus to missile damage is a house rule I use for most of my DCC games.

Some ranged attacks actually add a STR bonus, such as spears/javelins, thrown/hurled stones, and stuff like that. Arguably long bows should also add STR bonus.
