Repeatable HP boosts?

Thinking about ancient wizards, who make sure to use Make Potion to crank out Potions of Longevity at least once a decade (to give themselves some leeway)... how many ways are there for such a mage to permanently give themselves an extra hit point or two, in order to pay the cost of the maximum result of Arcane Affinity more than a few times?

For example, there's the Study/Carousing table at https://knightsinthenorth.blog/2018/01/ ... le-wizard/ , where results of 29+ give a 1-in-10 chance of an extra hp (though a wizard trying that course would definitely want a Luck modifier of +1 or more, to avoid risking permanently /losing/ hp, or other stats...). How many other repeatable hp boosts are there?

(I'm usually willing to flufftext any events, as long as they don't directly affect stats; but I prefer having at least a consistent houserule to rely on if the game's numbers are involved.)

Create opportunities to steal the life of others, and you are golden. A good example of this might be adapted from The Charwoman's Shadow by Lord Dunsany.

I don't know of any repeatable hp boosts -- and the idea of them being 'repeatable' runs counter to my understanding of the game...

If a Wizard discovers a way to gain more hp, it should not be repeatable or should have diminishing returns for greater cost.

But I'm not sure if we're talking about PCs or NPCs, and that would make some difference to the discussion. If it's an NPC, invent a compelling story of how he became so mighty that "swords seemed not to affect him at all"... and you're done.
