How to read a Monster's statistics

Post by TimDiskataneous »

Hello,

How do you read a monsters statistics? I am looking at Chapter Nine in the DCC RPG Core Rulebook. Let's look at Chimera as an example. There are three items in the entry that I do not understand.
  • HD 5D8+8
    Act 3d20
    AL C
Thanks for your help!

HD = Hit Dice. So in this case, the Chimera has 5d8+8.

Act = Action (dice). So in this case, each round the Chimera gets three actions dice and each is a d20.

AL = Alignment. The Chimera is of Chaotic alignment.
