Questions about Recovering the body and spell check penalty

Hi,

I just want to double check something. When a recovering the body roll is made is against the current luck value (I think this is the correct answer) or against the original value?

The spell check penalty is for all armor types (I think this one is the correct answer) or only those with iron!
Thanks for your time.

Throwing a question into the mix:

Do elves have the same spell check penalty as wizards? (with regards to armour)... I've heard conflicting reports.

Luck rolls are against current Luck.

Generally, the rules as they apply to Wizards also apply to Elves, unless the Elves are called out somewhere as working differently.

Unless someone else has a specific page # (Daniel Bishop) here is what I think:

Recover the body: Current Luck

Armor : all armor ..see equipment chapter under armor

Spell checks for elves: This is a good question. I would say as normal (wizard) but perhaps downgrade by a couple slots for mithril armor. Or even better, for starting mithril armor roll randomly. Downgrade penalty d3 or d4 modified by luck. It shouldn't go lower than 0.

I would only downgrade mithral amour if that downgrade was part of a special quality (magical or not).
