Monster Descriptions: Undead Traits

If a monster description in one of the modules lists, "un-dead traits", does that mean that you need to roll on the tables on p.381 of DCC, in addition to the traits that are already listed?

That might be a hold-over from a decade of playing d20/3.x. I'd wing it, and stick to some basics, like immune to sleep and poison, basic 3e stuff. Some those Un-dead traits from the rules book are fun, could go with both. I don't think there is wrong way of doing it.

I take undead traits to mean, " X are un-dead, and thus can be turned by clerics. They do not eat, drink, or breathe, and are immune to criti-cal hits, disease, and poison. As un-dead, they are immune to sleep, charm, and paralysis spells, as well as other mental effects and cold damage"

Which is listed in the monster description of most of the undead entries in the book.

Keep in mind that turning abilities in DCC RPG are expanded to include anything that is "Un-holy" to specific cleric's gods and alignment.

Dak,
Agreed. That was a quote from the monster descriptions and served only to describe un-dead traits.

Thanks, Rostranor! I didn't bother to look at the individual undead creatures in the corebook.
