For those like me that prefer something other than the "difficulty class" (DC) type checks, I made this system, which should be very easy to bolt on to your thief class if you so desire. It feels very DCC-ish to me. In fact, I cooked it up after I spent some time reading the PDF, so Joe and company definitely deserve some credit for inspiring me.
