So, being in Kentucky and running 2 game stores, is there any way I can set up some playtest/demo's at both stores? There is close to 2 hours between each location (1 outside of Cincinnati, OH & the other in Louisville, KY) I don't have any local gaming cons close by. We've supported Goodman since the beginning. We'd like to do it now, too.

As a Kentuckian and Goodman Games supporter, I'd be down for some of that action. I'd be more than willing to run the games and travel to both locations too.

(And, though it's a sci-fi convention and not strictly a gaming convention, Louisville does have ConGlomeration).

Hi Mythfish!

When is ConGlomeration? Day to day, I"m usually at the Florence, KY store. I only get down to Louisville a couple of times a month to check in on it. If its possible to work something out, I'll let you know.

Clan Yeoman is also in Kentucky (near Cincinnati). Joseph, my birthday is November 8th, so in lieu of a birthday gift, I'd accept an opportunity to playtest...

Arrrgghh! I'm nowhere near any of the playtests!

Ah well. I'll drop my cash on the RPG dutifully when it comes out.

You guys haven't steered me wrong yet when it comes to the DCC line. :D

Yeah, that's us. We've played in the DCC tourney every year (with the exception of one, which we playtested instead)...and have a blast every time.

Well first thank you Joseph for letting us playtest DCC RPG. And a huge thanks to Mythfish for running it. We had a blast. He's a very talented DM.

I really, really enjoyed the game. In the last year, I've looked at OSRIC, S&W, Labyrinth Lord, Dark Dungeons, C&C AD&D 2E & MYD20 Lite. While they're all very good, an old school game built on the foundation of 3.X is exactly what I was looking for.

My favorite line of the night was when Gary's Badger(he had a Badge Pelt/Loin Cloth)Hunter, named Boone asked if he could check a door for traps. Mythfish asked "What kind of traps?" And Boone said, "Badger traps!"

Out of 16 0 Level characters, I think we lost 3. I'm proud to say our horse & chicken lived through it.

I really enjoyed the emphasis of Attributes (even low ones) over Skills or Class Abilities.

Thanks again!

This continues to sound interesting.

Any further details about this product or when the masses will be able to eye-ball it?

It's really disappointing that he reports that it probably will be another year before it comes out though. :(

While that is technically true, I'd bet gp to cp many of you are playing it much sooner than that ...

Alright, enough with the vague hints... who do I have to kill to get to playtest this?

I'm guessing you'll need a +4 or better weapon to hit!

No problem--I sneeze better weapons than +4 every day.

So....vague hints aside....some actual news? Please?

I have to leave this one to the boss. Maybe he'll even post some art. The names associated with Joseph's brainchild are disturbingly great.
