0 Lvl "Character Sheet"

Post by Ze Groupe »

May i suggest that you make the 0 level character sheet something more like this:

Excuse the poor forum skills, but i think you'll get the idea. ;)

Name: | Rex | Tex | Mex |
Str: | 10 (+1) | 5 (-2) | 13 (+!) |

etc etc

That way each players 3 characters are easily managed on 1 sheet until they either die, or reach lvl 1.

Cheers.

A good idea. I was working on something similar but couldn't decide how many characters to fit on a page.

I was thinking three, but one of my playtest groups was only 3 players so I gave them four characters each. That kind of stalled my project. :(

Go with 4. But mention in the rules that the order they are lilsted on the sheet is their standard march order. :)

Another option is index card size sheets for them. That way marching order etc can all be done by the placement and positioning of the index cards. So maybe a pdf of 4 index size character sheets on one A4 sheet that can then be filled in and cut into 4 ready for play?

Here's a 3 up sheet for zero levels that I did this morning. Let me know if I'm missing anything important, this is based on a quick read through the rules while powering up all my equipment at work this morning.

Love the simple level 0 sheet! Very cool.

This falls into the "why can't you read my mind?" department but I did have a reason for each level 0 character having a different character sheet. In games with 5-6 players, where each player has 2-3 level 0 PCs, it becomes difficult to keep track of all the characters. What I do in that situation is have each PLAYER put one of his CHARACTER sheets closer to the middle of the table. So basically he has one character sheet right in front of him, and the other one noticeably closer to the middle of the table. That row of "middle character sheets" represents the front ranks of the party. I then ask who the first couple characters are, and I know "these 2 guys are the front rank, and all the other character sheets in the middle of the table are the mass of characters behind them."

It makes it easier to know who dies in the area effects. :) Also makes it easier to keep track of marching order in general.

I'd still do the center of the table thing, it'd just "greener" and simpler to have smaller sheets! Nothing a pair of scissors can't fix.

Of course, with this sheet it would be simple to cut them apart if needed.

glad you guys think they'll be useful.

And for those of you who would like four up on a sheet, I resized this to a 4x5 sized card, just cut them apart on or between the lines.

Quite welcome. I meant to do this yesterday and work interfered, and then when I got home my grand-daughter helped me roll up zero level characters while we watched Tangled

On the three-up sheet, just put a paper clip on the "lead" character, and if there is a question of who's second in line (for an area effect, or similar) roll randomly between the other two...
