Spellburn for Ulesh and Justicia

So, cutting off fingers to spellburn for evil demon-gods makes sense. Suppose the players want to be clerics of Ulesh and Justicia. It would be somewhat odd to have them maim themselves in exactly the same way.

I suppose Lawful gods might demand self-flagellation, fasting, the wearing of hair-shirts, etc.

The easy way out is to just assign ability damage and give very little "flavor text." The judge could say, "Ulesh demands that you weaken your muscles for seven days to show your dedication, assign seven points of strength damage, and say that it happens by a flash of light.

This would obviously give players an incentive to play Lawful parties. They would probably rather fast for seven days than cut off a finger. But that might be going against the intended flavor and style of the game.
