DCC Character count

Hey guys, only played the first funnel adventure that came with the core book (as a judge).

Looked at the second adventure and it calls for 8-9 level 1 characters.

Haven't looked at any other published adventures.

How many characters do players usually control / how many players are adventures designed for? How often is death expected?

Some people will run two characters at a time, others stick to just one at a time. -- You can always make up a shortfall with hirelings.

Death can be a common companion -- so extra hirelings are recommended (though they do get trickier to hire as word gets around)...
