Understanding Ability Score Damage
If an ability score is damaged, what's the effect of that? Does the person's bonus drop (I don't thinks so, because your Luck modifier is always the same). What happens at 0?

Re: Understanding Ability Score Damage
Your modifier certainly would drop, and does with Luck, too (except for the Lucky Sign Birth Augur result- that's static). In most cases, if an ability score hits zero you die, or at least pass out until you get a score of at least 1-3 points.

Re: Understanding Ability Score Damage
Drop the bonuses. That's why those attacks/effects are so dangerous. Same as spellburn -- it hurts, and it hurts for a while, which makes it meaningful. Exception: I don't drop the characters' hit points (fiddly to track, and kinda mean).
