I bought this game on steam called Darkest Dungeons and it is just like playing DCCRPG but on a computer! The game is really hard and filled with death.
It just reminds me every step of the way of DCCRPG.
Darkest Dungeon has DCCRPG's soul!

While I agree that Darkest Dungeon could remind you of DCC in that it is hard and filled with death, I would hold that DCC isn't held to that theme - like in the case of the Purple Planet and the Chained Coffin.
Very fun though!

IMO it's closer to Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. It's more of a low/dark fantasy than sword & sorcery, even the occupations are closer to renaissance era.

I change my mind about this game. If it wasn't on steam I would smash it into pulp then pee on it and then burn it. There is hard and then there is nutty hard and then there is Darkest Dungeon.
On third thought maybe it IS just like DCCRPG after all.
I'm just never going to finish this game. I lack the dedication to beat myself with a hammer in the crotch for THAT many hours.
Now I really understand why your Uncle blew his brains out in the very beginning to the game, he must have been a play tester!
I cleared two of the final dungeon levels and that's it. I'm done. I'm going to go play Diablo blindfolded or something so I can have a chance at winning.

How about some Dark Souls? It's pretty AD&D in a lot of ways.

Yeah Dark Souls or Dark Souls 2, looks pretty good. I watched my son play it. If I had the extra cash I would go buy it and give it a whirl but I don't at the moment.
I do have Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition that I have not tried yet so it looks like that is going to be next.
Anyone try that new D&D Legends game? The reviews are lackluster on it but you never know with reviews, some of the best games I ever played had cruddy reviews. Everyones taste isn't the same I guess.
